FACE Early Childhood Teacher

My name is Brenda Butler.  I live in Wilmot South Dakota.  I am the FACE Early Childhood teacher.  I have worked with the FACE program for 3 years.  I really enjoy working with the 3-5 year old children in our program.  Each and everyone of them are a real joy to have in our classroom. Our program is a family based program that supports the whole family.  The Center-based is the place for the 3-5 year olds to come and learn and to prepare for  Kindergarten.  We do a lot of hands on activities. We learn our ABC’s, Numbers, How to write our names, and we bring culture into our activities.   This is a great place to bring your child to help them prepare for school.

Let me tell all of you a little about myself. I am Kendra McIntyre and I am the co-teacher with the FACE program. I come to the FACE program with many years of early childhood experience. I was the lead teacher of the Head Start program in Bison, SD for nine and a half years before my husband, Tim, and I relocated to Webster. I am the co-teacher in the classroom and enjoy my job very much along with the people I work with. I have my CDA and am currently working on my AA. I have two girls ages 20 and 21, one son-in-law and two dogs. In my spare time I enjoy walking with my husband and dogs, browsing through cookbooks and spending time with my family. If you haven't had the chance to see our new classroom please come by and check it out, and if you have a child who is between the ages of 3 and 5 consider enrolling them in our program!

PACT time is part of the daily schedule for the parents and children who attend the center. PACT time is held in the Early Childhood or elementary classrooms.

It is quality, one-on-one time between parent and child, designed around the child's interests. During PACT time, parents increase their awareness of how their children learn by playing, working and learning with their children.
